The Equity Line is a blog by The Education Trust, which promotes high academic achievement for all students at all levels — pre-kindergarten through college. Our goal is to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement that consign far too many young people — especially those from low-income families or who are black, Latino, or American Indian — to lives on the margins of the American mainstream. The Equity Line chronicles our efforts, as well as those of our partners and friends, who are working toward the shared goal of gap closing. Here, you’ll find original analyses, commentary, and “on the ground” stories of our work with students, parents, and educators all over the nation striving to improve education for all children.
