Teach100 Mentor In Pictures: Give Teachers Thanks

We could TELL you just how much teachers do, but a picture's worth a thousand words: we'll let our most recent survey results show you.

We asked Teach100 Mentors about the above-and-beyond efforts they've made this past year, and the results are conclusive: teachers are killing it. We also asked them to write themselves the thank-you card they'd like to receive from students and parents, and using designs from the #thankteachersfor project, we brought them to life. Thank a teacher today!

Wondering how best to thank a teacher in yours or your child's life? Teach100Mentors share a hat-tip that meant a lot to them below:

“My boss nominated me for NAPSEC (National Association of Private Special Education Centers) Educator of the Year...and I won. It was a heckuva thank you -- send off to Washington DC, just in time for Mother's Day. My mother lives in the suburbs and my brother was visiting from Singapore with his family. A weekend she won't forget, and that was thanks enough.” Patrick Waters, WoodshopCowboy

“I received an award at out last staff meeting for having a joyful heart and working hard! It was basically a big thank you from my colleagues :)” Carissa Peck, mELTing Activities

“It was great to get cards from many of my students after learning that I would be transferred to another campus.” Jason Bengs, The Cluttered Desk

“As the un-official ‘tech guy' in my school I consistently go out of may way to help my colleagues more effectively integrate technology and help them use technology tools. The best thank-you's are the unexpected Dunkin Donut gift card or being copied on an email to admin about how helpful and valuable I am.” Christopher J. Nesi, House of #EdTech Podcast

“Yes. I received unexpected help from a coworker. It means a lot to have the support of colleagues.” Mike Lerchenfeldt, The Light Bulb

“A thank-you brightens your day! Make me feel appreciated and want to do more.” Todd Bloch, Sweat to Inspire

“Some of my online PLN gave positive feedback on my blog, and that was very encouraging.” Melanie Link Taylor, MzTeachuh

“I have friends who support me with their time, counsel, and offering me awesome opportunities like seeing a political rally or going to the supreme Court. We help each other, provide feedback out wrote lesson plans together, and generally sorry each other. It's great.” Jen Hitchcock, LovGov: A Gov Edublog
